I was in Canon City which is about an hour away from my house when my fire dept got paged out to the Navajo fire. I had all my gear in my truck except my boots. Knowing I needed a new pair anyway I stopped at the first place I found and i am glad i did. All the guys at Victory Defense gave me there full attention and practically tore the back room apart to get me in a pair of boots. Our crew spent the first 24 hours on the fire line and my feet felt better than they ever have on a wildland fire. I didn't even notice the awesome discount they gave tell I got home a few hours ago. Thanks guys for all the help.
